Karma, Curiosity and Me Entering this Course

I was born on November 22, 1994, in Nanjing, China. I was the daughter and only child of an engineer father and an accountant mother in a family that survived the Cultural Revolution and Nanjing Massacre. I was also a part of the generation that grew up enjoying the enormous social and economic development in Post-Mao China, receiving the blessing of Chinese traditional teachings and cultural upbringing in my younger years and higher education and professional development overseas in California in my adult years. Over the years of my growth, I have sensed my interesting position of being born at an intersection of psycho-spiritual-social evolutions. Looking on an inner level, my peers and I stand on the shoulders of giants from eastern spiritual wisdom and western intellectual thinking, contributing to a collective shift that emphasizes interdependence and interconnectedness.
